These programs feature:

  • Campus stays at such prestigious universities as UCLA, Johns Hopkins, and Stanford
  • A chance to meet and interact with international students from around the world
  • Teambuilding activities to help you develop and demonstrate your leadership potential
  • Workshop sessions to help you understand what sort of leader you are and can be
  • Focus on preparing you to lead the way in your community by helping you to craft a community action plan

As a Leadership Summit delegate, you will:

  • Learn to set goals and focus on achieving them.
  • Identify and develop your leadership style.
  • Gain insight into college admissions.
  • Work effectively with your peers during a teambuilding challenge.
  • Prepare to make a difference in your own community by developing a service action plan.

Age range – Participants must be in at least the sixth grade and no older than 18 by the departure date.
Program dates – Summer 2008 - Specific departure dates depend on which program you choose.
Academic credit – Students entering grade 9 through 12 can earn high school credit through the Washington School of World Studies. The cost for this credit is included in your tuition.
