Quito, Ecuador

  • Explore the city on a guided orientation.

  • Experience the Quito Teleferico (cable car) transportation system.

  • Stroll through Calderon and see the many goods for sale in the local markets.

  • View the beauty of San Pablo Lake.

  • See a rare sight in Lake Crater Cuicocha, a body of water formed in a volcanic caldera. The islands in the middle are ancient lava domes.

  • Journey to San Antonio de Ibarra, a small village well known for its woodcarving.

  • Shop for handmade gifts at the Otavalo Market.

  • Discover the intricate stone carvings of past civilizations at the Sacred Valley of Cotundo.

  • Explore La Basilica de la Reina del Rosario de Agua Santa.

  • Watch some of the world’s most amazing animals at the zoo in Banos.

  • Experience the beauty of the Ines Maria Waterfall.

  • Hike up trails to the scenic Pailon del Diablo waterfall.

  • Spend time in the Patate Valley, located near the Tungurahua Volcano.

Puerto Ayora, Galapagos

  • Work hands-on at a local school.

  • Visit the Charles Darwin Station and learn what they do to help protect wildlife on the islands.

Floreana Island, Galapagos

  • Snorkel at Devil’s Crown, a volcanic cone submersed underwater.

  • Spend time at Post Office Bay and Black Beach.

Isabela Island, Galapagos

  • See the Wall of Tears, which was built by convicts in the early 20th century.

  • Pay a visit to the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center.

 Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos

Academic credit – Students entering grade 9 through 12 can earn high school credit through the Washington School of World Studies. The cost for this credit is included in your tuition.
